- You can browse, renew, and reserve library materials online by logging into our library catalogue or by visiting the library during hours of operation.
- All materials can be checked out for a period of three weeks.
- Up to 25 materials can be borrowed on one card.
- Materials can be renewed up to two times providing the materials are not reserved by another patron.
- Materials can be returned to the library during normal operating hours or by depositing them in our 24-hour drop box (to the right of the front door).
*Note: we do not accept Placer County library materials and Loomis Library materials cannot be returned to Placer County Libraries. - We are a Fine Free library. What that means is that fines are not assessed for items that are over due. Items over due for 30 days are considered lost. Lost or damaged materials will be subject to a replacement fee.
Renew Online
Sign in to My Account.
Enter your library card number and the phone number associated with your account.
Click Log in.
Click My Account.
Click the Items Out/Renewals link.
Select the check box next to each item you wish to renew or select Renew All.
You will see a Successfully renewed confirmation next to the items renewed.
Please note, if the items have different due dates, they will all be assigned one new due date, which is three weeks from the date you renew.
Didn’t work? Reasons might be:
- Someone else has requested the item.
- You have reached the maximum number of renewals (normally two).
- You owe too much money from previous fines (account will be blocked when fines reach or exceed $10).
Visit the library, call 916-824-2905, or email us (collection@loomislibrary.org) to clear up any of these issues so that you may renew items online.
To update your account information:
Login to My Account and select Update Personal Info to update your phone or email address. You can also visit the library or call 916-824-2905 to update your address.
