The 2020 Census process has begun! What matters to you? Schools? Transportation? Hospitals? Data from the Census helps inform planning efforts for these important community

 In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the U.S. Census Bureau is adjusting 2020 Census operations in order to protect the health and safety of the staff and the public and make sure they get the same population counted another way. Online, phone and mailed self-responses continue throughout the data collection process. The deadline has been extended through October 31st. Visit https://my2020census.gov/ to begin.

Federal law keeps your responses safe so complete your 2020 Census with peace of mind. It’s important so that our Placer community gets its fair share of federal resources. You should have received a postcard in March detailing how you can safely and confidentially complete your form online or request a paper form to respond by mail. Please remember to count everyone in your household.
