Who We Are
The Friends are a local registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Since 1986, they have effectively raised funds to support the library.

What do the Friends of the Library do?
Friends of the Loomis Library & Community Learning Center raise money to help our library to move from good to great—providing the resources to purchase additional books and materials, fund programming, purchase much-needed equipment, support for summer reading, and special events throughout the year. Friends also assist at the library and help with programs and special events.
How can I join?
Pick up a membership application either at one of our book sales or the library front desk. There is a small annual membership fee, $15 for individuals or $25 families.
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated!

What am I required to do if I join the Friends of the Loomis Library?
Many residents join the Friends as financial supporters with their annual dues. Others want to play a more active role and attend meetings. Please visit the events calendar for upcoming meeting dates and join us. Some are active in other ways; processing donated materials for the collection or the book sales, hosting book sales, assist with the annual Christmas Faire, or Summer Reading Kick-off Party.

Book Sales
Book sales are three times a year. Your donation of gently used books, puzzles, DVDs, and games help to support the library.

- April
- October (five day sale)
In addition to the semi-annual book sales, the FOL maintains a section inside the library dedicated to ongoing book sales.
Days of Yesteryear Country Christmas Faire
The annual Christmas Faire takes place on the first Saturday in December. This special fundraiser is a holiday tradition for many families in our community. All proceeds benefit the library. All are welcome to attend.
