Hoopla

Hoopla is a digital media service offered by the Loomis Library & Community Learning Center that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later.  HOOPLA is like having your public library at your fingertips.

To sign up for HOOPLA: Go to www.hoopladigital.com in your web browser and click Log-in on the top-right corner. Scroll to the bottom, and under “New to HOOPLA?” click Sign-up Now.

  • You will need four things: an email address, a password, a library card number, and the library account PIN,( the phone number associated with the library card account).
  • Select the Loomis Library, CA from the list of  libraries in your area.
  • Once you have selected the library, you will need to provide your account details.
    1. Click in each of the boxes under “Account Information” . You will need to provide/create:
      – a copy of your email address
      – a password to protect your account with (must be at least 8 characters long)
      – a copy of the password that you chose
      – your library card number
      – the library card PIN (if applicable). Once you are done entering this information, click the checkbox below to say that you consent to exchange your library card information with HOOPLA.  Then, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Sign-up Now.
  • If all goes well, you should see a screen welcoming you to HOOPLA.
  • After successfully signing up for a HOOPLA account, you will only need your email address and your password to log in.

Please note:

  • Each HOOPLA account needs a unique email address.
  • For families with more than one library cardholder, each card account will need a unique email address for the HOOPLA account to be activated. HOOPLA does not check the veracity of email addresses, however, if you use an alias email address and cannot remember your email or password login, you will not be able to retrieve or reset the password. Write it down and keep it in a safe place.
  • If you have a HOOPLA account at another library, it is important to use a different email account to set up a new account with the Loomis Library.
